Fantastic and incredible location up in the hills, exceeded high expectations. Further, it was just off the Roast Ox Inn, a pub in the middle of nowhere perfect and a massive Yorkshire, roast potatoes and parsnip.

The breakfast was great and you could try eggs and bacon etc. I was very happy with the superfriendly and accommodating staff and their very good service. The location of the hotel was lovely and stunning, in excellent pub. It was also very close to the restaurant in the evening, Hay-on-Wye, and a mountain.

The location was good and beautiful, near excellent pub, Hay-on-Wye and a massive Yorkshire, roast potatoes and parsnip, in a very quiet area. This was exactly the double room I wanted in Painscastle.

Well-appointed double room and the bed was very clean. The best part of our really enjoyable stay was the excellent breakfast with large portions, bacon plus mushrooms. The location offered was quiet just off the pub and communal areas.

I had 1 night in Painscastle, spending the time here lovely. The breakfast was good, guests were offered toast, eggs, and bacon. The folks were wonderful.

The breakfast was sensational with eggs, bacon and sausage, and the staff was amiable. The location in a lovely peaceful area was fantastic and gorgeous for us. Besides, it was near the restaurant in the evening and Hay-on-Wye.

The room was spotless, with a private bathroom. The facilities such as iron and ironing board, tea and coffee making equipment, and a work desk were available. The location was gorgeous in the area for nearly 20 years.

We had the double room and it was compact and complete with super comfy beds, a straightforward menu, as for instance. That hotel was in a great and stunning location, in th hills.

The staff are exceptionally nice and super-friendly, and the owner too. The units were newly renovated with nice size bed.

The location was particularly good, in a lovely peaceful area. Besides, it was 5 min walk to Painscastle Castle. The breakfast was sensational with bacon, sausage plus homemade toast and very welcoming and pleasant staff.

My first room was a bit noisy.
